子ども英語クラスでは、子どもたちに習った英語はレッスンの中で使ってほしいのですが、これがなかなかです。

たとえば、小2~3クラスでは最近3週にわたり、色を覚えました。

red, yellow, brown, black, white, orange, purple, blue, pink, green 10色。

なのにですよ。覚えたことはどこかに飛んでいくのか、色を選ぶ際に、「私、きいろがいい。」なんて、日本語で、昨日のレッスンでも言っているんです。

私は、理解できないふりをして、”In English, please.”と言うと、気がついて、”Yellow!”　と言ってくれるのですが。

根気よく、いくしかないですね。

I want my students in Kids English class to use English they have learned, but it’s hard.

For example, the third and fourth grader students have learned 10 colors for three weeks recently.

However, they seemed not to remember them, and said, “I’d like to choose kiiro.” and so on in Japanese in yesterday’s lesson.　

I pretended not to be able to understand the Japanese and said, “In English, please.” Then, they changed them to “Yellow!”.

I’ve got to try to get them to speak English perseveringly.
